The Dapingzhang Old Tea Forest is located at an altitude of 1,140 - 1,600 meters on Jingmai Mountain in Yunnan. Over 1.2 million tea trees have been growing in the forest here for centuries, many of them more than 100 years old. Traditionally picked by hand and cultivated under the protective canopy, they preserve biodiversity and a unique ecosystem. The trees are strictly protected and have been assigned to families for generations. Harvest quantities are very limited and hardly available outside China - a tea of exceptional purity and expressiveness.
