Ali Shan is probably one of the best-known tea-growing regions in Taiwan. The tea grows on Mount Ali at an altitude of around 1,000 meters. The leaf of the Jin Xuan variety is harvested and produced, as is appropriate for a natural milk oolong. The variety makes full use of its natural, subtly creamy notes without masking the typical oolong character.
