Matcha, Matcha! In the mood for a wonderful, frothy, and delicious latte? Let its vibrant green color delight you, and savor every sip.
Here's how to make a matcha latte the right way:
- Put a heaping bamboo spoonful of matcha into a bowl, pour 30–50 ml of water, and stir it into a thick paste.
- Add 100 ml of water heated to 80°C to the paste and stir it with a bamboo whisk until it becomes a frothy tea.
- In a separate container, froth 50–100 ml of milk (or oat milk or almond milk) and pour it into a glass that’s large enough.
- Pour the creamy matcha tea over the frothed milk.
- Depending on your preference, you can now sweeten it with honey or agave syrup.
The matcha latte is ready.

Our tip: Prepare the tea exactly as described above, but then use only one or two tablespoons of milk foam to create a delicate crown on top of the matcha. This ensures that the flavor of the delicate tea isn’t overly altered. The milk makes the consistency even creamier, and the fat in the milk actually brings out the subtle flavor nuances.
Simply heavenly!
